c. 1900 Antique Victorian William Shakespeare Glass Paperweight
An old Victorian 2" glass portrait Shakespeare paperweight with engraved image of William Shakespeare behind. Old heavy high quality, super clear glass showing nice old hand blown bubbles.
This piece is in excellent condition overall in sepia brown, cream and black with a high quality 19th c. engraving as backdrop. The most performed playwright in the world, William Shakespeare 1564-1616, the "Bard of Avon", is often referred to as England's national poet.
Condition is beautiful, no chips, cracks or restoration. Click images to see condition in very close up and movable views. This was found in Totnes, Devon, England, and is a wonderful original old Victorian era vintage piece.
