19th c. Tiny Saltglaze Stoneware 2" Tankard Face Man-Big Nose-Folk Art
#AD342 Coffee can, children or child's mug, Tiny Tankard
An uncommon little piece. I have taken a photo of this tiny folk art tankard with a thimble nearby to show how little and fine it is. I have a feeling it is from the 19th century, but cannot say for certain.
CONDITION: There is a chip in rim and side hairline crack, an early English pottery piece with much character. It appears to me that someone formed the face...at the factory? Bristol? or it a mould?I do not know, but he spoke to me so I brought him home. Condition is exactly as seen in pics. A cool old piece.
