19th c Oriental Staffordshire Scalloped Imari Bowl, R Mark, Ridgway?
A beautiful circa Victorian era Imari scalloped bowl in deep reds, blues measuring 5 inches in diameter. It is decorated both inside and out with Imari floral embellishments of oriental fans in red, navy and gold gilt. Some of the gold gilt embellisment are worn in the navy blue rectangles seen in the Chinoiserie design.
It has a beautifully incised R mark, assumed to be made in Staffordshire by Ridgway. This lovely old piece was found in Devon. See close up photos. Condition, no chips cracks or repairs, just as seen in photos.
