1915 Antique Martin Co. English Brass Edwardian era Boxing Belt Buckle
Just a great graphic Edwardian era boxing sports related belt buckle made of pressed brass, a cool collectible vintage clothing related piece. It features a buffed boxer with no shirt delivering a punch, wearing his boxing gloves. It has a clear and wonderful engraved mark on back, Victorian / Edwardian era embellishments on the sides and is old and uncleaned with the original old funky patina.
This piece was made by the Martin Company.
The reverse is clearly stamped in circular engraving:
"Martin", Patent Number 660336
Made in England
It is unusual and rare. Note: It is one piece, the other hook side is not present, would have been simply a brass clip to slot the groove into as seen in photos. This could easily be made to work if you want to wear this piece as a vintage belt. No fixing would be needed to sit in a sports or antique boxing medal, buckle or token collection.
