Small circa 1900 French Edme Samson, Paris Armorial Vase
A lovely small Paris circa 1900 porcelan heraldic Chinoiserie vase in pinks, plums, purples and greens made by Edme Samson with a wonderfully clear red graphic bottom mark. It is decorated with a bold gold armorial central shield. It has two gold mask type heads on each side handle, see photos. It has a top running embellished edge and scalloped blue dotted running line around center, as seen in pics.
The bottom edge rim has some round grey glaze marks from firing, extra glaze, does not affect condition in any way, is simply in manufacture. There are no chips, cracks or repairs and the piece is in beautiful condition, recently found in Devon, England.
