1875 Ashworth Mason's Ironstone Plate Oriental Franklin Rayner Pattern
The beautifully Imari inspired intricately designed oriental 10.25 inch English pottery dinner plate in the Ashworth Franklin pattern. It features impeccable black, gold gild or gilt and orange / salmon design with Chinoiserie blossoms, oriental gold flower vase and a table with Eastlake embellishments.
The clearly printed mark is that of 1862-1890. It has the "A. BROS, Real Ironstone China" mark under the royal crown, with the letters in a flowing banner ribbon. It also has the overpainted russet "B" script numerals 3194, for the known Franklin pattern, made in 1875. This pattern is also called the Rayner pattern, which is also number 3194.
