This is a beautiful set of 2 Victorian Shakespeare related CDV photographs found together in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, England. The photographer for the portrait etching of Shakespeare is marked as "Gustav Schauer, Photographisches, Kunst-und Verlags Institut, Berlin, Germany, Grosse Friedrichs-Strasse 188", which is printed on his German advertising backmark. It also has has a small printed info vignette on reverse of Shakespeare 1564-1616, see photo.

Amazingly, these scenes all for on a 2.5 x 4 inch carte de visite photo. This photo is marked "Registered L.S.P.C." on photo front, which is assumed to be the publisher. The reverse is blank. 

This set will be sent in 2 new clear rigid sleeves, for protection. These "Album fillers" were beautiful CDV photos made to fill in the empty spaces in early CDV photo albums, between the various family photos. They can be humorous, cultural, political, erotic, playful, jokes, poems, current news, cultural and regional topics and advertising related in nature. This is just a wonderful set we were happy to find.
