Collect banks and antique money boxes? Here is an original and scarce vintage advertising collection box for the British organization "Dr. Barnardo's Homes". It is made of early papier mache or pressed card. The original paper document glued on the bottom is split in half as someone went in for the money, but it is intact. It has a thin brass plate that it is glued to.

The paper (as seen in photos) lists the president of the "Dr. Barnardo's Homes National Incorporated Association" as her Royal Highness Princess Margaret-Princess of Snowdon. It lists Sir Alfred Owen as Chairman of Council and Frederick J. Potter as General Secretary. Princess Margaret 1930–2002 was the daughter of King George VI 1895- 1952 of the United Kingdom and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon and the sister of Queen Elizabeth II.
