This is a wonderful old piece of Art Pottery. It is a Art Nouveau Royal Doulton Slaters navy Blue and Gold Beaker / Vase found in Devon.
NOTE: John Slater 1844-1914 was the Art Director at Doulton & Co. Burslem from 1887 until his death in 1914. He was an alumni of the Stoke-on-Trent School of Design and worked at Minton, Pinder, Bourne & Co. before Doulton & Co. when that company was acquired by that Doulton. He was involved in the development of many of the innovative glazes used by Doulton and the transfer printing / ceramic design.
There are no chips, cracks or repairs and the piece is in beautiful condition with excellent marks, see all my photos.
