#AD308: Large 14.5 x 11.25 inch English Staffordshire CSS D
Ashet, Meat Plate Dish or Platter

This is a large graphic late Victorian era Blue & White advertising Ironstone pottery transferware platter. it has a great large black logo for CSS D and is dated 1900 with a flowing belt banner ribbon.  is this a shipping company? a railway line? let u s know as we have done research and found things such as Canadian Survey Ship and Chessington South railway station  in Kingston upon Thames .

This piece is well glazed, smooth and creamy in great condition. It also has 2 small deeply impressed marks in the pottery, see photos. One appears as a 2 and the other as 12.

This uncommon piece was found in Totnes, Devon, England. It has no chips, cracks or repairs. There are very mild signs of use. It is large and displays beautifully.
