1890's Victorian Blue & White Flower Transferware 11.5 inch Ironstone Platter

This a beautiful all-over floral flower pattern Staffordshire platter circa 1890's in deep blue and white. I do not know the actual pattern or maker, and wish I did. It is made of heavy pure white ironstone china, England made.

Condition: There are no chips, cracks or repairs and the piece is in beautiful condition. If you run your hand over the front surface, there are a few firing bubbles you can feel in the making but are very hard to actually see. There is an incised mark on reverse that cannot be read, it's a very light imprint, see photo.

There are some random cobalt blue marks on the reverse, see photos, which we feel adds to the character, as these were from the Staffordshire pottery manufacture. It is overall made of a heavy ironstone, very clean with a gold gilt rim, some wear on that gilt paint on rim from hand use. A beautiful old piece found in Devon.

Size: 11.5 inches
