1910 Copeland Spode Blue & White "Italian" Thick Tea Tray Trivet
Transferware c 1910 Copeland Spode Blue & White "Italian" Pattern Tea Tray
A rare and wonderful blue and white tea tray or trivet, thick. This is an original circa 1910 blue and white early Edwardian era deep tray, well marked. The size is very close to 6 inches in diameter, and it is 1/2 inches deep or thick.
CONDITION: This piece is known as the "Italian" Pattern. The condition is beautiful with no cracks, chips or repairs, see photos. As with all Staffordshire pieces, there is some extra cobalt blue paint on bottom rim, and tiny firing imperfections, but overall it is in beautiful condition. On the top you can see a white area where the transferware is a bit rubbed at the 7 o'clock position in the manufacture, take a look at all photos. The piece is approximately 110 years old.
The back has a beautiful blue COPELAND SPODE's ITALIAN England old oval mark. It was found in Devon, England. We love this uncommon piece. See all close up photos.
Size: about 6 inches in diameter, 1/2 inches thick
